The Lexington VFW post 2382 is hosting a Sunday breakfast to raise money to help out local vet's and other community efforts. It's an all you can eat buffet style, serving scrambled eggs, pancakes w/fruit toppings of your choice, ham, sausage, coffee, milk, orange juice, sweet rolls and toast. Cost is $7 for adults, $3 for kids 5-12, and kids 4 and under are free.

For over 18 years, "Three Men and a Tenor" has been singing and laughing all over the world.  The guys made a pact early on to keep the entertainment fun for all ages and to always help audiences leave feeling better than when they came.  In 2006, the Michigan Meetings and Events Magazine voted the group as "Best Entertainment In Michigan".


Enjoy the free show at the Patrick Tierney Memorial Park at Lexington Harbor (two blocks east of the traffic light in Lexington).  Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, and get ready for a great show.  Refreshments will be available for sale.  For more information, go to LexArts.com.


5th Annual Mark Grace Memorial Ride and Poker Run

Everyone is welcome to join in the annual Mark Grace Memorial Ride & Poker Run benefiting the Justin L. Evans Memorial Fund (charity details here: jlemf.com).  We average 250+ riders each year, rain or shine, through St. Clair County and lower Sanilac County.  The ride begins at Noon at Mike's Motor Sports (previously Cycle and Marine Land) at 3482 Lapeer Road, Port Huron; it ends at the Angry Bull.  Cost is $20 per motorcycle (or car) and $10 per passenger.  Questions, call Bill Phare (715) 432-2693, Cherie (810) 300-1467, or Jim Grace (810) 300-1858.

Visit London, England in the year 1599 without leaving Port Huron!  Enter Stage Right and the City of Port Huron announce the first ever downtown Shakespeare Festival on August 14th.  Enjoy Elizabethan food, vendors, and performances for family members of ALL ages!  Throughout the day, 15 minute performances of the most famous and beloved Shakespeare scenes will be performed.  Other activities will allow everyone to see how 1500s locals would spend their summer afternoon.  For more information go to EnterStageRight.org.

Children's Leukemia Foundation Walk

Blue Water Film Festival

After a very successful first year for the Blue Water Film Festival, the 2nd Annual festival is already in the works.  The festival will be held at McMorran Theatre in downtown Port Huron.  The Blue Water Film Festival was designed to showcase amateur film-makers from Michigan and Lambton County, Sarnia.  A wide variety of films will be featured inlcuding drama, comedy, documentary, horror, romance, and more.  Enjoy a few movies or stay for a whole weekend of incredible films.  Go to their Facebook to learn more or the BlueWaterFilmFestival.com.
